2005-03-29 - 8:37 p.m. well, it's been awhile. since last entry, felt like things were going well. then i discovered Kinky (my dear cat), had cancer. illness was very rapid. who knew a tumor could grow so? it took just 4 wks, and then she was gone. she was my most favorite baby in the world, my dear black, baby girl. i miss her so. so i asked for Change, and got it in spades. if it had to be loss i had no idea it would be death. the trackball ended up causing injury too. wked solely with that to do the freelance, entirely with the left hand. a wk after kinky's death i finally noticed persistant swelling and pain. a weight and a hindrance. it's been like this for over 3 wks now; whenver there's relief, it returns for whatever reasons; carried boxes, tried to work, tried to type, tried to do things. it is frustrating, and depressing. i can type this now because i've wrapped an elbow Tru-Fit brace right around the left wrist. it can't bend, and only the fingers can move. of course i may be causing myself more swelling as i type. ;) i've removed the trackball, am using the 3M ergo. mouse on right. DON'T want to re-injure the right, which finally feels fine. the 'handshake' design works really well, no pain. so i've put pretend money in to order the SAFETYPE kybrd, which is also 'handshake design'. end, l. wrist protests. ~e
